<p>The invention relates to water-dilutable, air-drying protective coating compositions based on a combination of select water-dilutable alkyd resins with aqueous polymer dispersions and maleinized oils or fatty acids. The products are used with or without pigments, extenders and/or paint adjuvants or additives, depending on the particular end application, as air-drying protective coating compositions for wood and metal substrates, particularly for brushing lacquers and wood varnishes.</p> |
