<p>In a liquid-crystal display, each pixel (P) is associated with a sensor (D,BP) which detects incoming light projected by a light pen (44). In response to the detected light, the sensor (D,BP) produces a signal which causes its associated pixel (P) to darken. Thus, as a user moves the light pen (44) along the display, the pen (44) leaves a trail of darkened pixels (P), analogous to a pen leaving a trail of ink on paper. <IMAGE></p> |
