In automatic-control systems, a controller is provided for each control circuit. In order to reduce the number of controllers, in control circuits operating using fuzzy logic, the invention calls for only one fuzzy controller (FR) to be used which is connected to the individual control paths (RS1 to RSn) on a time-multiplexed basis. The invention is of general application across the whole range of automatic-control systems.
