The connector for joining threads or lengths of yarn without forming knots has a body with a transverse slot of circular cross-section which breaks into the upper surface of the body. The threads or ends of the lengths of yarn are laid in the slot (11) and the lid (23) is fitted over the body so that the ends of the slot are partly covered. Compressed air supplied through the connector (19) flows through holes in the body (10). These holes extend from the undersurface of the body and run tangentially into the slot (11).
