The cartridge for containing and applying a plastic substance has a cylindrical body (11) with an end wall (16) at the rear end and a wall with an integrally formed nozzle (23) at the front end. The outer end of the nozzle is cut away to form a hole and the substance is then forced through the nozzle by pressing the rear end wall into the body. When all the substance has been removed from the body, pressure is applied to the front end wall (13) so that the rear end wall (16) is pushed out of the body which can then be refilled and re-used.
