Machine for removing lowest sheet from stack - has gripper with jaws and vertical arm to support stack

Sheets of paper are removed one at a time from the bottom of a stack and transferred to the jaws of a gripper (16). The lowest sheet of the stack (1) is gripped by a suction head (8) which is mounted on an L shaped lever which is actuated by a bar. The stack outer edge is supported by a vertical arm (6). The angular movement of the L shaped lever is limited by a stop (14). The stop allows the L shaped lever to swing through an angle that is greater than that which is necessary to align the sheet (3) with the gripper. USE/ADVANTAGE - Removal of sheets from the underside of a stack. The design eliminates all risk of collision between the moving parts.
