The plastics foam corks of wine bottles are held in place by Y shaped clips which are made from wire or narrow strips of metal. Each leg of a clip terminates in a loop and a wire ring passes through the loops of both legs. Before being fitted to the bottles the clips are stored on a tray. The tray has parallel ribs (8) which are spaced apart at a distance corresponding to that between the legs if a clip. Each rib has a V shaped groove formed in its upper edge. Each groove has an end stop surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - Storage of clips for retaining corks in bottles. The full trays can be stacked one upon another.
