The housing couples a light wave guide and an opto-electric circuit (1) which is mounted on the base of a flat ceramic housing (2) open at one side. Conductive tracks, suitable for HF currents, are provided on the base between the optoelectronic circuit and the outer boundary of the ceramic housing. An optical housing (3) is also attached. This has an opening (5) on its base and an opening (9) on its side wall. Inside the optical housing is an optical element (8). An adjustment ring (10) with an adjustment sleeve (11) is attached to the optical housing. A light wave guide (13) is adjustably and lockably arranged in the ring. The wave guide is fixed in a fibre sheath (12). USE/ADVANTAGE - For coupling optical circuits, e.g. optical transmitter, semiconductor laser or optical receiver to appropriate electronic circuitry. Electrical and optical contacts lie in same plane or in parallel. Mfd. in cost-efficient way in spite of high accuracy requirements.
