The specific wt. of the complete implant is such that it is in a floating state in the tissue surrounding the eye cavity. The ceramic layer of the one half of the implant deviates slightly from the ball-shape. The implant body volume is mainly of silicon rubber. The ceramic layer is formed as a calotte, which is filled with silicon rubber material of the implant body. The ceramic is a calcium phosphate ceramic or is of hydroxylapatite. The silicon rubber is a methyl- or methylphenylsiloxane or a polydimethylsiloxane. USE/ADVANTAGE - An orbita implant which has an adequate mobility and is well fixed in the eye cavity.
