PURPOSE:To eject a transfer material having an image formed thereon onto an original pressure plate moved to a closing position by moving the original pressure plate automatically to the closing position when the original pressure plate is opened. CONSTITUTION:An image forming device for ejecting a transfer material having an image formed thereon onto an original pressure plate 19 is provided with a detecting means 23 for detecting the opened or closed state of the original pressure plate 19 and a closing drive mechanism 24 for moving the original pressure plate 19 to the closing position on the basis of a signal informing the start of operation for ejecting the transfer material onto the original pressure plate 19 and a signal from the detecting means 23 detecting the opened state of the original pressure plate 19.
