PURPOSE:To obtain pieces of soap which is very convenient for storage and can be used in an appropriate amount, thus being hygienic, economical and ready to be foamed by incorporating a foaming agent foamable by reaction with water into a soap composition and tableting the mixture every an appropriate amount for washing. CONSTITUTION:A soap composition mainly comprising alkali metal salts of high fatty acids is mixed with a foaming agent foamable by reacting with water and the mixture is tableted every an appropriate amount for washing. For example, the soap composition is mixed with a foaming agent in the form of a mixture of a water-soluble organic acid and a water-soluble inorganic salt liberating CO2 by reaction with said organic acid. The mixture is, for example, pressed into each oval-shaped tablets of 30g weight, a proper amount for bathing.
