PURPOSE:To efficiently form a hole by constituting a recording layer of a medium, a photosensitive molecule and an electron donor imparting an electron to the photosensitive molecule and generating light induced electron transfer reaction from the electron donor to the photosensitive molecule. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer 2 consisting of a medium 2b, the photosensitive molecule 2a dispersed in or bonded to the medium 2b and the electron donor dispersed in and bonded to the medium 2b is provided to a PHB optical recording medium. Further, an electron acceptor consumed sacrificially is added to the recording layer 2. By this constitution, highly efficient PHB reaction can be realized by light induced electron transfer reaction wherein an electron transfers from the electron donor to the photosensitive molecule. Since a reduction type material is sued as the photosensitive molecule, the material selecting width of the PHB optical recording medium is increased. Further, since reverse electron transfer is suppressed by adding the electron acceptor, PHB optical recording can be realized with extremely high efficiency. |
