PURPOSE:To provide the title refractory assuredly prevented from popping development without inducing decline of workability or deterioration of its physical properties due to changing the use of a binder and/or curing agent. CONSTITUTION:The objective refractory can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100 pts.wt. of an amorphous refractory comprising (1) an alkali salt of phosphoric acid as the chief binder and (2) calcium hydroxide as the chief curing agent with (B) 0.01-2.0 pts.wt. of a neutral salt of magnesium carbonate as popping inhibitor. |
