PURPOSE:To increase strain amount and decrease hysteresis of a piezoelectric electric strain material by replacing a part of Nb<5+>, Zr<4+>, Sn<4+> and Ti<4+> of B site in a perovskite-type crystal structure of a Pb-Nb-Zr-Sn-Ti based material with (Mg1/2W1/2)<4+> and replacing a part of Pb<2+> of A site with Ba. CONSTITUTION:The objective piezoelectric electric strain material has a composition expressed by the formula Pb1-0.5a-cBac [Nba {(Zr1-bSnb)1-yTiy}1-a]1-x(Mg1/2 W1/2)xO3 or a composition expressed by the formula Pb1-cBac {(Zr1-bSnb)1-y-Tiy}1-x(Mg1/2W1/2)xO3 or a composition expressed by the formula Pb1-0.5a[Nba {(Zr1-bSnb)i-yTiy}1-a]1-x-(Mg1/2W1/2)xO3 (a <=0.03, 0.15<=b<=0.6, c<=0.12, 0.01<=x<=0.3 and y<=0.1. These piezoelectric strain materials are suitable as various kinds of actuator materials capable of providing large strain amount and requiring large dislocation amount because of small width of the hysteresis curve. |
