PURPOSE:To provide a method wherein decoration can be formed rapidly by a simple work and the top side of a part to be decorated can be threedimensionally decorated by forming a slit along the side surface of the part to be decorated, pushing an engaging part of a decoration tape into the slit of the part to be decorated, and winding the tape around the side surface of the part to be decorated. CONSTITUTION:A part to be decorated 5 having a predetermined thickness wherein shapes of letter, simbol, and pattern etc., are provided is prepared and then a slit 51 is formed along the side peripheral surface 50 of the part 5. An engaging part 4 of a decoration tape 1 having certain section is pushed into the slit 51 and the tape 1 is wound around the surface 50 of the part 5, wherein the tape 1 comprises a belt-like main part 2 which covers the side surface of the part 5 and the engaging part 4 which is formed integrally with the top part 20 of the part 2 and protrudes in a direction of the upper surface 5a of a heating part 5 and is pushed into the slit 51 formed integrally with a head 3 with a width larger than the thickness of the part 2 and the side surface 21 of the part 2. |
