PURPOSE:To enable shift in registration by time-sharing drive to be minimized by a method wherein a drive power source is reduced by time-shared driving of a plurality of recording heads to provide a low cost image forming device. CONSTITUTION:An image data signal VD is separated per each color to be taken into a delay memory 57 existing in a recording head drive part (52-54) for each color. Thus taken each color image data is made to be a parallel data with a shift register 58 to be transmitted to a head driver via a latch 59. A head drive pulse instructing its drive timing is inputted to a head driver from a timing generation part 51. Then, ON/OFF control for supply of a current to each heating element 502 of a recording head 503 is executed with the abovementioned parallel image data and the head drive pulse. Correction of registration is executed by an order of the head drive pulse and alteration of the timing. |
