PURPOSE:To improve the covering properties of steel sheet by tin-plating layer after DI working and obtain the surface-treated steel sheet for DI can excellent in printing grounding capability of the outer surface of a can after the DI working by a method wherein polyester resin layer is provided on the tin-plating layer, which forms the outer surface of the can after being made of the steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:The surface-treated steel sheet for DI can excellent in printing grounding capability is obtained by providing polyester resin layer on the tin-plating layer, which forms the outer surface of the can after being made of the steel sheet. At this time, the thickness of the polyester resin layer is set within the range of 0.1-50mum, By providing the polyester resin on the tin-plating layer as described above, the direct contact of the surface of the steel sheet with a die at DI working can be prevented from occurring, resulting in allowing to suppress the movement of tin on the steel sheet and to improve the covering properties of the steel sheet by the tin-plating layer after the DI working. Consequently, the surface-treated steel sheet for producing DI can, which is excellent in printing grounding capability of the outer surface after DI working and has high commercial value, can be obtained. |
