An apparatus for undwinding a web of material from a reel (3), has two upwardly pivotable supporting arms (4, 5 or 44) disposed at right angles to the web (40) at a distance from one another, the supporting arms having means (6, 7,) for taking up and rotatably holding the reel (3). The pivot bearings (12 or 41) of the supporting arms (4, 5 or 44) are movable between two positions which horizontally are mutually offset to the swivelling axis. In a preferred embodiment the supporting arms (4, 5) are fastened to rotate with a shaft (8) extending at right angles to the web (40) and movable on the floor transversely to the axis of the reel, whereby the shaft can be rotated with a pivoted lever (27) fastened to it. In another embodiment the supporting arms (44) are fastended in an upwardly pivotable manner to levers (43) which are coupled to the side stands (42). . |
