PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for dental and medical restoration and prosthetics used for a supply material, a liner and base for dental caries, a cement, a sealant for pit or fissure, an adhesive of a dental formation or a bone to a polymer complex and a dental corrective. CONSTITUTION: This dental and medical restorative and prosthetic composition consists essentially of a polymerizable unsaturated and substituted butane compound having a functional group part of an acid of the formula [R is an acid radical or a reactive derivative; R' is a 2-13C polymerizable unsaturated radical; (x) is 2 or 3; (y) is 1 or 2] or a reactive acid derivative thereof, e.g. bis-(2- hydroxyethyl methacrylate) ester of butanetetracarboxylic acid, and preferably is the one-pack type and visual light-hardenable one having preservation stability. The composition preferably includes other active ingredients selected from additive-free, a hardening catalyst, an initiator, an accelerator and a mixture thereof, preferably the hardening agent and an aldehyde, especially glutaraldehyde, and has a dental liner or an adhesive forms. |
