PURPOSE:To provide a refractory composition having high thermal spalling resistance. CONSTITUTION:The objective refractory composition contains basic aluminum lactate and a mineral selected from baddeleyite, andalusite, kyanite and quartzite as essential components. Basic aluminum lactate is effective for generating microcracks in the formed body in drying and baddeleyite, etc., generate microcracks in the formed body at a high temperature. The microcrack has an action to disperse and relax the stress caused by heat and improve the thermal spalling resistance. |
