PURPOSE: To feed a web so as to pass through a printing machine during the initial start-up of printing running. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus has a pair of guide rollers 20, 22 between which a web 16 runs and two cleaning heads 10, 12 for respectively cleaning each face of a running web. Each cleaning head 10, 12 has a pressure gap and a negative pressure gap. The cleaning heads are pivotally mounted about fixed axis between the first position where the heads are at operational position relative to the guide rollers and the second position where web feed into between the guide rollers is facilitated. The gap between the cleaning head and the guide roller is automatically set by terminal bearing means 36, 38. |
