PURPOSE:To enhance the printing quality of an ink jet printer printing a high density image at a high speed by reciprocally driving a print head having a large number of orifices formed thereto. CONSTITUTION:The print head 28 reciprocally driven by a head driving mechanism 36 is directly detected by a detection sensor 38 and a speed correcting means performing the feedback control of the head driving mechanism so that the detected cycle coincides with a prescribed cycle is provided. |
