PURPOSE:To selectively, accurately and electrically measure the surface area, that is, the dispersed particle size or concn. of the electrolyte present on the surface of a solid, especially, the electrolyte particles present on the surfaces of solid particles or on the surface of a molded article in a dispersed state as numerical data. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus for measuring the surface area or surface concn. of the electrolyte present on the surface of a solid consists of a container capable of selectively dissolving the electrolyte to dissociate the same into ions, the glass electrode immersed in the solvent within the container and a device measuring the change of potential difference with the elapse of time from the point of time when the surface of the solid is brought into contact with the solvent. The surface concn. and surface area of the electrolyte are evaluated from an obtained dissolution curve. |
