PURPOSE:To provide a cement admixture and a cement composition having excellent handleability, capable of constructing a durable concrete or mortar construction having excellent water-proofness and light weight compared with conventional construction and exhibiting suppressed dry shrinkage to suppress the cracking deterioration. CONSTITUTION:The objective admixture can be produced by mixing 100 pts.wt. of beads of an organic polymer material with 1-100 pts.wt. of one or more kinds of alkoxysilanes expressed by general formula R<1>nSi(OR<2>)4-n (R1 is 1-20C alkyl, alkenyl, aryl or their derivative groups which may be same or different in one molecule; R<2> is 1-4C alkyl; (n) is natural number of 1 to 3). The alkoxysilane is uniformly dispersed in the composition. Water impregnated from the ambient atmosphere is blocked with the water-repellent alkoxysilane to give a composition having excellent water-proofness. |
