In the lower part (5) of the barrier unit (1) and between the two outer panels (2, 3) is a perforated pipe (6) to collect accumulated water running along the length of the panel. At the ends (9a, 9b) of the unit are drainage outlets (7) to take away the water. The base of the panel and a strip of the lower part of the perforated panel (3) extending as far as indicated (H), are not perforated. The water from the drainage outlets (7) is conducted away in the space (11) between the ends (9a, 9b) of the panel and the supports (10). The perforated panel is of metal. ADVANTAGE - Sound barrier e.g. for road has mineral wool packing which is kept dry. No problems can arise in freezing conditions. |
