PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet-like object inspecting device which can automatically and efficiently inspect the inhomogeneous part of a sheet-like object. CONSTITUTION:This sheet-like object inspecting device has a light source 2 provided on one side face of a sheet-like object 1, camera 3 which takes the light transmitted through the object 1 as an original picture 7, picture processor 4 incorporating a feature section extraction circuit 9 which extracts a feature section 8 by processing the original picture 7 from the camera 3, feature point extraction circuit 11 which finds a feature point 10 by processing the picture 7 by changing a threshold, and a combining and addition circuit 13 which combines the feature section 8 and feature point 8 and, at the same time, decides the same area as that caught by one's eyes as a defective section as a defective section picture 12. In addition, this inspecting device also has an arithmetic device 5 which discriminates the picture 12 having a size larger than a standard size for discrimination as a fault 14 and display device 6 which displays the discriminated results of the device 5. |
