PURPOSE: To provide a safety helmet for a motorcycle, etc., having at least one air chamber in an outer cover for covering a human head to be protected, and having effects for buffering the influences of shock and reducing outer noises in some extent. CONSTITUTION: This helmet for a motorcycle, etc., useful for buffering the influences of shocks has an outer cover 1 for covering a human head to be protected. Therein, a pair of air chambers 2, 3, separated with an inner bulkhead 4 from each other is disposed in the outer cover 1, and the outer chamber 2 is allowed to directly communicate with an inflation device for the air chambers 2, 3. The inner chamber 3 is allowed to communicate with the outer chamber 2 through a check valve 9. At least one of the air chambers 2, 3 is finely divided into compartments 10 separated with bulkheads 11 having small penetrated holes 12 formed therein so as to gradually shrink also on an unexpected leakage of air. Manual operation valves 7, 8 for rapidly shrinking the helmet are disposed, and a box 6 comprising auxiliary members 7, 8 for folding up the outer cover 1 and subsequently holding the folded outer cover therein is further disposed. |
