PURPOSE: To make a low-cost sensor receptacle uniformly usable for the different material thicknesses of a booster housing by providing a device which surely presses a sealing member with a constant force when the material thickness of the booster housing differs in the opening of the booster housing. CONSTITUTION: In order to monitor the position of a mobile wall 4 in a booster housing 10, an electric travel sensor 3 is provided and a vacuum chamber 15 is formed. An opening 8 is provided in the housing section of the housing 10 and a sensor receptacle 2 inserted into the opening 8 houses the sensor 3. The receptacle 2 is sealed by means of the elastic sealing member of an O-ring 7 against the housing 10 and the sealing member is held between the surface section of the housing 10 and an annular surface 17 formed on the receptacle 2. Then the O-ring 7 is surely pressed by providing a plurality of partial pressing sections 12 on the housing 12 in the area of the opening 8 so that the sections 2 can cooperate or come into contact with the projections 11 for locking of the receptacle 2. |
