PURPOSE: To provide a new method for effectively unclogging pipes without pressurizing the pipes and without using a mechanical shuttle. CONSTITUTION: So as to unclog a pipe 16 carrying dangerous and accessible substances after removal of a movable member, the movable member is replaced by a guiding member 42, and then a hydraulic shuttle 66 is introduced into the guiding member. The hydraulic shuttle 66 is connected to a high pressure hydraulic device 70 through a box 56 equipped with means for washing the shuttle when the shuttle is recovered and means for recovering effluent. The hydraulic shuttle is then conditioned in a winder 84 connected directly on the box 56.
