<p>PURPOSE: To make the assembly of the improper state of a latch section impossible by installing an external lock subassembly containing a lock plug, an internal lock subassembly, a latch section with a swivel or the like. CONSTITUTION: A lock plug 2a retaining a tailpiece 3 rotatable within a range from 180 deg. to 360 deg. is mounted on a lock cylinder housing 1, and incorporated and fixed into an exterior housing 5. The relative rotation of the housing 5 and the lock plug housing 1 is inhibited. Each lock subassembly A, B on the outside and the inside and a latch section 10 are combined and fixed onto a door. Tailpiece 3 receiving openings 34a, 34b are disposed into upper and lower semicircular regions at that time, and a swivel base material 9a is arranged around the longitudinal direction of the latch section 10. When torsion is loaded to the housing 5 at that time, the swivel base material cannot be turned in the receiving openings 34a, 34b until the upper and lower sections of a shroud 5c is brought into contact with the latch section 10.
