Compositions that contain, in admixture with one another, as active ingredient, on the one hand N-[2-(2-methoxyethoxy)-phenylsulphonyl]-N'-(4,6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazi n-2-yl)-urea of the formula <IMAGE> and on the other hand one or two of the active ingredients of the formulae II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV and XV defined herein exhibit synergistic herbicidal action in rice.
