<p>PURPOSE:To provide a pipe joint from which liquid inside will not drop to the outside even if it is disconnected. CONSTITUTION:A casing 6 provided in a female housing 4 is slid with air- tightness inside a pipe joint maintained to close a male housing 3 and openings 10 and 11 at the top of the casing 6 by valve elements 16 and 17, respectively, and separate a flow path. A No.1 liquid delivery hole 28 and a No. 1 air sucking hole 29 provided in the female housing 4 are aligned and connected with a No. 2 liquid delivery hole 30 and a No. 2 air sucking hole 31 provided in the casing 6, respectively. By this, liquid left between the casing 6 and the male housing 3 is exhausted through the liquid delivery holes 28 and 30, and outside air is sucked through the air sucking holes 29 and 31. In this condition, a locking mechanism 5 which engages both housings 3 and 4 can be released. Thus, the mechanism is released to separate the joints 1 and 2 from each other.</p> |
