<p>PURPOSE:To provide a disc brake that is so constructed that the stress occurs in a retainer spring when an outer pad is mounted to a caliper is reduced. CONSTITUTION:Fitting projection parts 7 that fit with claw parts 14 and a spring locking projection 15 that projects between the fitting projection parts 7 are provided on the back 11a of an outer pad 11. A retainer spring 13 is engaged with the spring locking projection 15 incapable of falling off and freely rotatable, and the outer pad 11 is fitted to the space between. claw parts 14 by making the arm part 19 of the retainer spring 13 to the state wherein it fits to a recessed part 21 provided between two claw parts 14. After this, the retainer spring 13 is rotated round the spring locking projection 15, and the spring contact surface 20 on the back of the claw parts 14 is pressed by a pressing part 19a provided at the top end of the retainer spring 13, thereby the claw parts 14 are held between the pressing part 19a and the outer pad 11, and the outer pad 11 and a caliper 12 are held in the state of close adhesion.</p> |
