FUNCTION TESTING SYSTEM FOR A COMMUNICATIONS INSTALLATION

From the main distributor, all outputs of the communications installation (PABX) are connected via a coupler (SM) to a balance network (PTI) with different line interface balances. The data processor (DP) of the installation to be tested (PABX) is loaded with an installation-dedicated operational test program (PPS). With the aid of a control computer (SC), signalling criteria are exchanged between the installation to be tested and the balance network (PTI) and the operations recorded. It is thus possible to perform a fully automatic installation-dedicated test on all hardware functions on the peripheral interfaces of a communications installation.
