A device for controlling a gas torch supplied with a gaseous fluid by related supply circuits. The control device (100) comprises, for each supply circuit, a control loop (110, 120, 130) for individually controlling the gaseous fluid during operation of the gas torch (C). Each control loop includes a flow and/or pressure sensor (111, 121, 131) which is built into the torch, and a control assembly (112, 122, 132) forming part of the corresponding circuit and preferably controlled by a controller (140) when a sensor indicates deviation from a set value. The device may be used in descaling, testing, oxygen cutting or surface treatment techniques.
