The invention concerns a pulse laser. It relates to a pulse laser in which a buffer gas and an active medium, with respect to the laser effect, are enclosed in a tube (2) and the gas is used as excitation or ionisation medium in the tube. According to the invention, the gas contains molecules formed by several elements and mixed with the gas enclosed in the tube at a ratio of at least 0.1%. This gas is advantageously water.
