The invention relates to a blood transfusion apparatus of the type comprising a blood supply, at least one pump for accelerating the blood, a single-use pouch for the pump, a blood heater, a single-use pouch for the heater, a filtration system, a perfusion line connected by conical nozzles and terminated by a trocar. According to the invention, the accelerating pump is comprised of a variable volume (25) of the accordeon or flexible pouch type and a bag (10) of liquid to be transfused, both variable volume and bag being located between two plates (17, 26) which are accurately spaced apart, with, between the variable volume (25) and the bag (10) a platen (16) sliding parallel to the plates (17, 26), the variable volume (25) being supplied by means of a pump (12).
