The device works in a printing machine with a colour chamber and walls limiting the chamber space against the body. It incorporates a device for colour feed and discharge of used colour and a profile body extending axially in the colour chamber, fixed to a retainer on a doctor box between the colour input and output guides. The profile body (11) is provided with a pressure nose formation (10) spaced from the body cover surface and forming an axially extending flow gap (12). The pressure nose formation has a recess (14) in the rotary direction of the body (2) on the colour discharge side for a cross-sectional widening for sudden pressure drop in the part space of the chamber space behind the pressure nose (10).
