The chuck plate has jaws of which at least one (3') is radially movable along the plate for clamping and loosening of a workpiece (10). The jaws (3) are arranged so that together their ends are turned towards the chuck plate centre to receive and hold an insert separable into at least two parts (6,7). The insert parts are provided with first recesses which with the parts brought together form a common recess, which in the chuck plate axial direction to correspond to the cross-section with their limiting walls they retain a part of the workpiece. |
