The present specification discloses a system and a method for marine radar control. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the system for marine radar control comprises: a radar antenna; a rotation part for rotating the radar antenna; an encoder for measuring the rotation speed and orientation of the radar antenna; and a control part which controls the rotation speed of the radar antenna to be lower than a reference speed in a specific section and to be higher than the reference speed in other sections. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a system and a method for controlling a marine radar to vary the control over the rotation speed of the antenna with the front and rear sides in order to provide enhanced detection performance for the front side which is relatively important when compared with the rear side.
