A device for steering the rear wheels of a four-wheel-steered vehicle has within a housing an electric motor driving a hollow shaft and a ball-race worm gear. This worm gear feeds an axial thrust rod connected to the rear wheel track-rods. To prevent rotation of the thrust rod as it slides axially, it is attached to a disk with two small diametrically-opposed slots. Within each fits a short longitudinal arm giving only a minimal amount of angular play. Each arm is also held by a slot on the inner periphery of a second, annular, disk which itself is held in the housing by two tongues in slots at the outer periphery. ADVANTAGE - Compact design with no extra space required for the rotation constrainer.
