The photographic film cartridge consists of a spool (1) which has an integrally formed spool shaft (13) which has cylindrical hubs (11, 12) formed at each end with flanges (2) formed between each hub and the shaft. These flanges limit the movement of the film in the axial direction. The end portion of each hub forms a hollow shaft with a wall thickness which lies between 0.5 mm and 0.8 mm. The spool fits in a cylindrical housing which is provided with a slit through which the film is threaded. The housing also has end caps which form bearings for the hubs of the spool. USE/ADVANTAGE- Cartridge for photographic film is especially suitable for miniature film.
