The push button switch suitable for use on circuit boards has a holder (1) in a ring shaped opening (11), switching element (2), push button (3) and an elastic element (4). The holder has internal slots (12) formed that receive arms of the switching element. At the centre of the element is circular flange (22) that aligns with the centre of the elastic element. The switching element crosspiece (21) locates in a profiled hole (31) in the button. When moved axially the elastic element deforms to provide a soft contact with the board. ADVANTAGE - Ease of assembly. Silent in operation.
