A process to align a spinning spindle so that when fitted to the spindle rail, the fixing ring is level with the rail. This brings the housings into line with rail, whereby the spindle axis is brought into the centre line when running. Before mounting the spindle on the rail, the fixing ring is attached to the housing in a coaxial position. The spindle housing has an attached plate with dome shaped top surface. This conforms to the hollow in the fixing ring which has a level top surface to close against the bottom of the spindle rail. ADVANTAGE - The spindle is pre-set in an accurate position for true running, prior to mounting, which saves time on adjusting to the correct position
