<p>A communications bus through which a plurality of terminals (T) communicate and which comprises a transmit sub-bus (ST) to which an output (OUTT) of each terminal (T) is connected, a receive sub-bus (SR) to which an input (INR) of each terminal is connected, repeater means (RPT) having an input (INT) connected to the transmit sub-bus (ST) and an output (OUTR) connected to the receive sub-bus (SR) so as to receive information transmitted by each terminal on the transmit sub-bus (ST) and to re-transmit this information on the receive sub-bus (SR) for receipt by another terminal for which said infomation is intended, a transmit clock line (CT) extending alongside said transmit sub-bus (ST) , a receive clock line (CR) extending alongside said receive sub-bus (SR), and clock means (CKR) connected to the receive clock line (CR) in a region substantially adjacent to the point of connection of the repeater means (RPT) to the receive sub-bus (SR) so that a clock signal generated by the clock means (CKR) and the information re-transmitted by the repeater means (RPT) travel in the same directional sense as one another on the receive clock line (CR) and receive sub-bus (SR). <IMAGE></p> |
