Provided are a method for processing video masking and an apparatus for processing video masking, to which the method is applied. According to the method for processing video masking, frames constituting a video may be photographed, at least one masking region to be a target of masking may be detected in the photographed frames, masking may be performed for an image within the detected at least one masking region, masking information including information about the performed masking may be inserted into a corresponding photographed frame, and the frame, for which the masking is performed and into which the masking information is inserted, may be stored. Accordingly, masking is processed for an image related to personal information in a captured video, thereby preventing a user from infringing on privacy of other people even in the case of a generally captured CCTV or black box video. |
