<p>A device for horizontally clamping workpieces to the table of a vertical saw is specified, in which the clamping fixture has a fixed, essentially vertical clamping surface for the workpiece, which clamping surface is arranged mainly transversely to the feed direction of the saw band, and a clamping jaw horizontally adjustable relative to this clamping surface and likewise having an essentially vertical clamping surface. In this arrangement, the clamping jaw is designed as a clamping bridge overlapping the machine table, and likewise the fixed clamping surface is designed to overlap the machine table while leaving a passage for the saw band, the two ends of the clamping bridge are guided next to the machine table in such a way that they can be horizontally adjusted perpendicularly to the plane of the clamping surfaces and can be locked in position, the clamping bridge is linked to the guides in a displaceable and pivotable manner via guide elements, and a clamping fixture is rotatably linked to the guide elements and the ends of the clamping bridge in such a way that, in one regulating state of the clamping fixture, the clamping bridge is clamped against the workpiece, while in the other regulating state of the clamping fixture the clamping bridge is released or tilted away from the workpiece. …<IMAGE>… </p> |
