An envelope (1), Fig 1, is provided with a cord (4) glued to the inside of the fold (3) in a sealing flap (2) on the envelope. One end of the cord (4) protrudes and can be pulled to tear the envelope open along the fold. In a method of producing a glue-coated cord for use in the envelope a cord 84, Fig 8, is passed through one or more holes 83 in the walls 82 of a container filled with glue 81 to a level above the hole(s) 83. <IMAGE> |
