PURPOSE:To remove fault at high speed by a constitution wherein priority interruption is not executed for two line fault under such operating mode as one line is operating whereas the other line pauses at one end and three phases are interrupted instantaneously for all terminals. CONSTITUTION:Condition sections 1, 2 are provided, respectively, with OR elements OR9, OR10 wherein an output similar to that of conventional unit is applied on one input whereas pause conditions at the counterpart end is applied on the other input 'a' and their OR conditions are outputted. Pause conditions are obtained from pause at counterpart end of concerned terminal 1L and pause at counterpart end of adjacent line 2L. In other words, when one or more lines pause at the counterpart end, three phases of both lines are interrupted instantaneously by the output from a PCM current differential relay. Upon occurrence of multiplex fault across two lines during operation with circuit breakers at one ends of two lines being opened, three-phase interruption takes place instantaneously at one end of one line when the counterpart end of adjacent line pauses whereas three-phase interruption takes place at the other end of one line when the other end of adjacent line pauses. |
