<p>PURPOSE:To provide a transformer for applying a high voltage to an ignition plug, which is designed for most efficient fitting into an engine. CONSTITUTION:A transformer includes a core 10 on which a low-voltage input coil 3 and a high-voltage output coil 4 are wound coaxially, and a connector 9 on its axial part for connection with an ignition plug 8. The largest part of the transformer has a diameter D that is 1.3-1.7 times the diameter L of the largest part of the ignition plug.</p> |
